In the midst of a terrible recession, sick and hospitalized loved ones, and all-around gloom, we feel a strong urging from the Holy Spirit to put all distractions aside and to focus on ardent, focused prayer. So this is what we are doing this year – praying that God will deliver Good News to the sick, Good News to those needing jobs, Good News to people down on their luck, Good News to shut-ins, Good News to people who have suffered overseas lately from earthquakes, political upheavals, tornados, oil spills, and war. Good News is about hope and about peace in the midst of the valley of the shadow of death. So we pray for all these things.

Creation Camp ’09

This year we held our first annual Creation Camp at the church. Becky Heneise and Carrie Berger flew out from Los Angeles, and Michael Heneise (Chair of the Mission Society at the church) led the camp for the week (August 3-7th). One thing that was particularly unique and wonderful was a partnership we developed with First Position Dance Arts down the street – who supplied us with dance instructors for the week. Campers then were part of a public performance sponsored by First Position Dance Arts and  Indigenous Pitch and held in the Susquehanna Bank parking lot out on Rt. 30 in front of St. Coleman’s Catholic Church in Ardmore, PA.

Hello world!

We are a warm fellowship of Christians who meet Sunday mornings at 11am for worship, and Wednesday evenings at 7pm for prayer meeting. Our members represent more than 15 nationalities, and we focus both on the bigger picture of God’s mission in the world, as well as how God interacts with the individual and his or her community. Please come by, break bread with us, and rest in God’s tranquil and loving Spirit.
